Ace Parking of San Diego has given the San Diego Police Foundation a major gift of $15,000 for purchasing police bicycles.

SAN DIEGO--July 22, 2013: On September 17, 2012, the San Diego Police Department held a special press conference to announce an exciting gift from Ace Parking of San Diego. The announcement of Ace Parking of San Diego's gift came from San Diego Chief of Police William Lansdowne and Keith Jones, a principal of Ace Parking of San Diego. Ace Parking of San Diego had given the San Diego Police Department a generous gift of $15,000 to put towards the purchase of providing specialized bicycles to police officers.

With the help of Ace Parking of San Diego, the new bicycles are sure to help the police of San Diego do their jobs. "The new bicycles, equipped with technology and enhancements to support officers, are easy to maneuver and important for use in large crowd settings such as sporting events and community gatherings," stated the Police Department.

"Using green practices in our work at Ace Parking of San Diego is very important," said Jon Gjerset, Chief Information Officer of Ace Parking of San Diego. "So we wanted to apply this important principle to our gift. It's a joy to make our community safer while also sticking to environmentally-friendly technology."
