June Delivers Podium Finish for Hyundai
SYDNEY – July, 2013 8: Hyundai Motor Company Australia finished the 2012/2013 financial year with a string of all-time best results for the month of June. With total month end sales of 9,914 Hyundai finished in third place overall ahead of Ford and Mazda, and achieved a market share of 8.3% in a month which saw the industry hit an all-time high of 118,758 units sold. The strong result produced an all-time best quarter for the period April-June 2013, with 25,256 units sold in the period.
Although classified as different vehicles, combined Hyundai i30 hatch/Elantra sedan sales numbered 4,598 units for June, putting Hyundai ahead of Toyota Corolla sedan & hatch, and Mazda 3 sedan & hatch in Australia’s biggest market segment
Passenger car sales of 7,037 units in June sees Hyundai take second position overall, with a market share of 12.2%, ahead of Mazda, Holden, and Ford.

Hyundai Motor America has reported another best ever month end sales result with a total 65,007 units sold in June an increase of +2% YOY with the Elantra model enjoying a +26% increase over the same period 2012. Year-to-date total sales achieved another record with a total of 361,010 units sold.
Globally, Hyundai Motor Company sold 404,368 units in June, an increase of, +8.2% over the same period in 2012.
