TULLAMARINE, AUSTRALIA – July 5, 2013: The popular Honda CR-V is the number one selling petrol SUV, outselling all-comers in the highly competitive SUV market in Australia (source VFACTS June 2013) year-to-date.

The CR-V has sold 7,462 units year-to-date. The CR-V’s June result of 1,579 units is the second-best sales result in the model’s 16 year history in Australia.

“We’re delighted with the CR-V’s sales result this year,” said Honda Australia Director Mr. Stephen Collins. “The CR-V is a fantastic proposition for customers. It’s functional, practical, packed with features and has the latest safety technology. It’s not hard to see why it’s the most popular petrol SUV in the entire market year-to-date.

“In early 2014, we’ll add a diesel variant to the CR-V range, giving customers even more choice,” Mr. Collins said.

The CR-V is available in two and four-wheel drive. Standard features include the easy one-touch motion folding rear seats, integrated Bluetooth phone/audio connectivity, reversing camera, alloy wheels with full-size spare and a huge cargo area.

Recently, the CR-V received a further important upgrade with the Advanced Driver Assist System (ADAS). ADAS is Honda’s state-of-the-art safety technology and is available as a factory-fitted option on the four-wheel drive VTi-L.

ADAS features Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS) which is unique to the medium SUV segment, Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC).

ADAS is designed to complement the driver, not to replace their input. ADAS contributes to active safety while ensuring that the driver remains in control of the vehicle at all times.
