BMW Australia Reports Solid Growth for June

MULGRAVE, AUSTRALIA – July 4, 2013: BMW Australia Group has enjoyed strong sales during June, maintaining number one position in four segments and upholding a lead position in three segments on a year-to-date (YTD) basis. These results included:

  • 1 Series Convertible - number one in segment for June and YTD

  • 3 Series Sedan/Wagon - number one in segment for June

  • 7 Series Sedan - number one in segment for June and YTD

  • X5 number one - in segment for June and YTD

    The company recorded satisfying growth in the medium car segment with BMW 3 Series up 23.8 per cent YTD, with 719 sales. In addition, the BMW SUV range reported strong sales and solid YTD increases, with the X1 range up 22.8 per cent, X3 up 29.5 per cent, and X5 up 18.5 per cent.

    Phil Horton, managing director of BMW Group Australia, is very pleased with the group’s performance.

    “June was another great month for BMW Australia, and we’ve maintained a strong performance across a number of segments.

    “BMW remains very competitive in the Australian SUV market and with the new BMW X5 soon to be launched, 2013 is set to be a record year,” said Horton.
