MULGRAVE, AUSTRALIA – July 4, 2013: MINI Australia today announced the highest quarterly and year-to-date sales figures since the company arrived in Australia twelve years ago. In addition, the brand has achieved record-breaking registration figures consecutively across all months of quarter two.

Strong growth was reported with 252 units sold in April (up 18.9% from 212 in April 2012), followed by 253 in May (up 37.5% from 184 in May 2012), and a remarkable month in June totalling 282 units – a 34.9% rise from June 2012, and the highest ever sales MINI has recorded in Australia in a one month period.

These pleasing results generated a record quarter total for MINI Australia, with 787 vehicles sold. This contributed to the highest ever half-yearly registration figures of 1,295, a total increase over 2012 of 10.7 per cent on a year-to-date basis.

Kai Bruesewitz, general manager of MINI Australia, is overjoyed with the results.

“We knew that 2013 was going to be very exciting when we kick-started the year with the launch of the all-new MINI Paceman.

“It’s great to see that our enthusiasm for the MINI brand has translated into our most successful quarter and year-to-date sales yet,” said Bruesewitz.

“With a strong line-up of MINI vehicles catering to a broad audience, coupled with a consistent demand for the brand, we expect these results to be an ongoing trend.”
