TACOMA, Wash. (June 26, 2013) – LeMay – America’s Car Museum (ACM) has signed an agreement with U.S. Bank to be the presenting sponsor of the 2013 Kirkland Concours d’Elegance, the 11th edition of the Pacific Northwest classic car show.

“The U.S. Bank Kirkland Concours d’Elegance” is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 8 at ACM’s Haub Family Field. This marks the second year U.S. Bank has been the event’s presenting sponsor and the second year the event will be staged on the 3.5-acre show field at ACM.

“Having U.S. Bank as presenting sponsor of the Kirkland Concours adds to the stature of this event, which is one of the top Concours in North America,” said David Madeira, president and CEO of ACM. “Their support will help us continue the outstanding tradition of the event that is an annual highlight for car enthusiasts throughout the northwest.”

Held on the second Sunday in September, the Kirkland Concours typically hosts more than 100 vehicles which are entered in a variety of judged classes, including antiques (pre-1925), classics (cars built from 1925-1948) and postwar vehicles (1948-1951). Specialty classes for the 2013 event will be announced this summer.

“The U.S. Bank Kirkland Concours d’Elegance and America’s Car Museum are both important pieces of the community in Tacoma,” said Chris Heman, President, Washington State and Executive Vice President, Commercial Banking for U.S. Bank. “Both entities have made a positive impact on the region, which is in keeping with our corporate commitment to improve the communities we serve.”

The partnership between U.S. Bank and the Kirkland Concours is the most recent example of U.S. Bank’s commitment to the Seattle Tacoma metropolitan area. U.S. Bank supports dozens of local organizations through sponsorship, donations and volunteerism with events throughout the year.

Celebrating its 150th birthday in 2013, U.S. Bank is the third-largest retail bank in the Seattle-Tacoma market with 88 branches and more than 1,400 employees. Last year, its employees gave back by spending more than 3,400 hours volunteering with local organizations. Statewide, U.S. Bank provided more than $2.4 million in contributions to the community.

Since its inception in 2003, the Kirkland show has become a signature event for the Puget Sound region. This year, as in years past, a portion of the proceeds from the Concours will benefit Seattle Children's Hospital.
