New Infiniti Centre To Open In St. Albans Hertfordshire

LONDON – June 25, 2013: Infiniti is to open a new retail centre in the historical town of St. Albans, Hertfordshire.

In partnership with the Glyn Hopkin group the new centre will be situated in Lyon Way, Hatfield Road St. Albans in addition to the existing and long established dealerships that are already operating there. Redevelopment work will commence soon to meet with the unique style, look and feel of the Infiniti brand. The substantial investment will help to secure additional jobs in the local area for both sales and aftersales areas of the new operation.

The opening of the new site will coincide with the introduction of the all new Infiniti Q50. A premium sports saloon packed with leading edge technologies. It is also the first Infiniti with a 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine emitting 115g/Km CO2 with 170PS and 400Nm of torque.

Alongside this version is a full-blooded hybrid designed with both performance and efficiency in mind. Power comes from a 3.5-litre V6 engine boosted by a 50kW electric motor, which assists at low speed and allows emission-free motoring at cruising speeds. As a result, this dual-character car can accelerate from 0-62mph in under 5.5 seconds yet it emits only 155g/km CO2.

Both versions will come packed with class-leading technology including:

Direct Adaptive Steering - by using sensors at both the steering wheel and the road wheels the amount of steering corrections required by the driver to remain in a straight line over undulating roads or during high crosswinds is seriously reduced.

InTouch - this provides dual display screens in the centre console allowing information to be shown simultaneously without overriding the navigation system as well as the ability to download apps to aid driver interaction.
