WESTLAKE, Ohio--June 21, 2013: TravelCenters of America LLC (TravelCenters), operator of the TA and Petro Stopping Centers travel center brands, announced today that it has entered into an agreement with The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company to offer additional Goodyear brand truck tires at its 233 TA Truck Service and Petro:Lube locations nationwide.

TA and Petro will offer these fuel-efficient, long haul Goodyear brand tire lines:

  • G399A LHS Fuel Max steer tire,
  • G572A LHD Fuel Max drive tire, and
  • G316 LHT Fuel Max trailer tire.

Goodyear's exclusive Fuel Max Technology uses cool-running compounds and advanced design technology to help reduce rolling resistance and improve tread life, resulting in better fuel efficiency.

Select TA and Petro locations also will carry the Goodyear G394 SST DuraSeal + Fuel Max wide-base tire and the G392A SSD DuraSeal + Fuel Max wide-base truck tire. Both tires feature Goodyear's exclusive DuraSeal Technology, a gel-like substance built into the tire's inner liner that seals nail-hole punctures up to ¼- inch in diameter in the repairable area of the tire's tread.

The premium Goodyear Fuel Max steer, drive and trailer tire lines will be available and serviced at all TA Truck Service and Petro:Lube truck service facilities within the TA and Petro network by early July 2013. RoadSquad's 450 emergency roadside service trucks, available 24/7, also will carry Goodyear brand tires.

"We are very happy to offer Goodyear brand truck tires to our customers," said Tom O'Brien, President and CEO of TravelCenters. "Fleets and owner-operators can now look to TA and Petro for this premium brand, with the Fuel Max technology that helps use less fuel to go the same distance," he added.

TA Truck Service and Petro:Lube facilities offer a combined 1,000 service bays and are staffed by 3,000 TIA-certified (Tire Industry Association) technicians. RoadSquad provides a fully staffed 24/7/365 emergency roadside service, with 450 service trucks located at TA and Petro Stopping Centers sites.
