HANOVER/MANCHESTER – June 20, 2013: Robbie Williams’ sold out “Take The Crown Stadium Tour 2013” has just kicked off. This is the third international tour where the Volkswagen Multivan, the current descendant of the iconic VW Bus, is used as a shuttle vehicle. Ten black Multivan Highline and two Multivan Business accompany the tour which spans stadiums in 14 countries when the artist and his band rock to the end of August.

A tour of this size needs finely-tuned logistics, in this case involving two teams with six Multivan vehicles and drivers on the road at every concert site.

“Everything is choreographed to the last second: checking into the hotel, rehearsals, the show, checking out, the airport,” says tour manager Jaeki Hildisch. “So, of course, it's important that everything runs perfectly, especially the cars,” he explains.

The Multivan models all have over 180 PS TDI engines and a direct-shift gearbox (DSG). The passenger carrier is both comfortable and flexible with its two swivel seats on tracks in the second row and the reclining third row three seater bench.

The tinted, dark glass also means that the celebrity passengers are safe from inquisitive glances and cameras.

Robbie Williams will be in Germany performing the “Take The Crown Stadium Tour 2013” in Gelsenkirchen (10 July), Hanover (27 July), Munich (7 August) and Stuttgart (11 August).
