Chicago Automobile Trade Association Announces 2013-2014 Executive Board

John Webb Elected CATA Chairman and 2014 Chicago Auto Show Co-chairman alongside Kurt Schiele

CHICAGO--June 18, 2013: -- John Webb, of Packey Webb Ford in Downers Grove, was recently elected to become the 2013-2014 Chicago Automobile Trade Association (CATA) chairman and the 2014 Chicago Auto Show co-chairman. Webb will lead a board of 15 dealers and succeeds Kurt Schiele, who becomes chairman of the 2014 Chicago Auto Show.

Webb brings more than 30 years of automotive experience to the board and is extremely active in local charitable organizations. Packey Webb Ford actively supports Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), St. Francis High School, DuPage PADS and Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago.

"Franchised, new-car dealers are a great example of the small businesses that form the backbone of the U.S. economy. We are vital to the communities in which we do business," said Webb. "The CATA brings our dealerships together to give us a collective voice as well as resources to help us run our businesses more effectively. I am honored to lead the organization as its chairman."

Additional board officer announcements include: Colin Wickstrom, Wickstrom Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep and Wickstrom Ford-Lincoln , association vice chairman; Mike McGrath, Jr., McGrath Lexus, McGrath Acura, McGrath Honda and McGrath Hyundai, association treasurer; John Hennessy, River View Ford , association secretary. David Sloan remains the association president and Chicago Auto Show general manager.
