LONDON – June 6, 2013: Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has announced that Frank Ludwig (42) has joined the company as Director of Manufacturing. In his previous role he was Director, Painted Body for BMW in Leipzig, Germany.

Frank joined BMW in 2002 as General Manager, Manufacturing Body-in-White, at MINI in Oxford and is a highly experienced Production and General Manager. Prior to starting at BMW, he worked for a small premium car company in Germany. Frank replaces Jörg Bause, who leaves Rolls-Royce Motor Cars to take up a senior position at BMW South Africa (Pty) Ltd.

“I am delighted to welcome Frank to Rolls-Royce and to his new position heading the manufacturing team here at the Home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood,” said Torsten Müller-Ötvös, CEO. “With his extensive experience, I am confident that he is ideally suited to further develop on the impressive results that have been achieved by Jörg Bause over the past three years.”

Frank joins Rolls-Royce during an exciting time for the marque. The company launched its next model, Wraith – the most dynamic, powerful and beautiful Rolls-Royce in the company’s history – at the Geneva Motor Show in March. Wraith is currently in pre-production and customer deliveries will begin the last quarter of this year.
