MILTON KEYNES, UNITED KINGDOM – June 4, 2013: Mercedes-Benz has launched a competition based on an online game promoting the new GL-Class.

The innovative GL-Class Road Trip invites players on a 16-day virtual journey through South Africa. A competition, challenging players to claim a seat in the Mercedes Benz GL-Class, allows participants the opportunity to turn the virtual into reality and win a safari holiday to South Africa.

To do this, participants register on the site - www.mbroadtrip.co.uk – via Facebook Connect and answer a multiple-choice question about the GL-Class and its location at landmark points along the journey on each day of the competition.

Once they answer a question, a prompt appears asking users to ‘like’ the Mercedes-Benz UK Facebook page to continue further into the competition.

Users will be ranked on a leaderboard based on the number of points they accumulate and the time taken to answer. When the journey continues, the leaderboard will be reset and all players will have a new opportunity to win a seat. Once six seats have been occupied, there will be a final question for the ‘Wildcard’ seventh seat in the car which anyone can win.

The seven passengers will then go head-to-head for the final six questions and will be eliminated one by one until there is one winner.

If you are in the hot seat until the end, you will be the winner of a once-in-a-lifetime prize of a safari for two in South Africa’s premium game reserve. Those that don’t make the full route will still be able to experience the car first hand with a 4x4 Driving experience at Mercedes-Benz World, Brooklands.
