MELBOURNE – May 31, 2013: Citroen Automobiles Australia is pleased to welcome the Bayford Group to its growing dealer network with the opening of Bayford Citroen on June 1. The new dealership will include sales, service and parts facilities and is located at 435 Malvern Road in South Yarra.

Established in 1917, the Bayford Group is the longest surviving family owned motor vehicle dealership in Australia and one of Melbourne’s largest and most established multi-franchise dealerships.

Dealer Principal of Bayford Citroën, Rodney Gulliver, is looking forward to manage the new dealership and brings over a decade of European cars experience with him, having worked himself up from Sales Manager to General Manager and Dealer Principal at the group’s European franchises.

“Although the Bayford Group has a long automotive history in Melbourne, the main priority has always been to focus on the future. We believe Citroën is a part of that future and we are very excited to present the exciting Citroën range to our valued customers,” said Rodney Gulliver.

General Manager of Citroën Automobiles Australia, John Startari, says the opening forms part of the brand’s growth strategy.

“Melbourne is a key location in our objective to make our Citroën products more available to potential customers. The Bayford Group is known in Melbourne for their long history and strong customer focus and we are glad to have them as a vital part of our dealer network”, said Mr Startari.

The opening of Bayford Citroën brings the total number of Citroën dealerships in Australia to 25.
