Which Switch? New Narva Sealed Switches Provide Functionality and Performance

SYDNEY – May 3, 2013: Narva has released a new range of sealed rocker switches providing functionality and reliability, while allowing the end user to customise the switches when adding accessories.

Available in a choice of standard, illuminated, or the premium L.E.D-illuminated variants, all switches feature a fully-sealed fascia which prevents dust, water or other debris fouling the switch mechanism, therefore ensuring a long operating life.

These features combined with a broad operating temperature threshold means the switches are ideal for demanding Australian conditions, and make them suitable for many applications including four-wheel-drive, transportation and marine work.

Regular off roaders will appreciate the switches’ generous proportions which makes them easy-to-engage over rough terrain, while the sealed design means that muddy or wet fingers won’t pose a problem.

The range begins with standard non-illuminated switches. Like all variants in the range, these are available in a wide variety of single and double pole functions, and can be installed as either a single switch or banked, using interconnecting mounting panels. See accompanying table.

The globe-illuminated switches – available in green, amber, red and blue – can be customised for easy identification via a decal set containing 50 popular 4WD accessory symbols. For an even more professional ‘off the shelf’ finish the blue illuminated switches are also available screen-printed for popular off road accessories and applications.

All the illuminated switches feature a dash-light function that turns on with the park lights making them easy to locate at night, and when engaged, the backlit symbol illuminates confirming to the operator that the accessory is on.

At the top-of-the-range are the premium L.E.D-illuminated switches which have a grippy rubber finish and brighter L.E.D illumination. As with the globe variants the L.E.D switches also feature a dash-light function and can be customised using one of three decals sets, 4WD, transport or marine.
