WHAT: For most companies, ROI means Return on Investment, but for Farmington Hills-based Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, ROI means Return on Involvement.
Next week, Monday through Friday, May 6-10, more than 1000 employees from Mercedes-Benz Financial Services locations in five countries across the Americas are teaming up with 30 nonprofit agencies for a Week of Caring that will take on community projects to benefit families in need, provide education to underserved youth and beautify communities.
WHO, WHAT, WHERE and WHEN In METRO DETROIT:
Habitat for Humanity, 27729 Osmun Street, Madison Heights, HOUSE RE-HAB in 2 phases, 20 employees each day, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday and Tuesday, May 6-7
Habitat for Humanity, 24 Taylor St., Pontiac, HOUSE RE-HABin 3 phases, 10 employees each day, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, May 8-10.
Urban Neighborhood Initiatives, Weiss Park, 9215 Mandale, southwest Detroit, 48206, clean up graffiti on walls and replace with murals with an artist from the College for Creative Studies, 20 employees, residents and youth, 9 a.m. -4 p.m. Thursday, May 9.
Greening of Detroit , Grandmont Rosedale neighborhood near Grand River and Fenkell, east of the Southfield Expressway (M-39). Community Tree Planting with 50 employees, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Friday May 10
Rebuilding Together, Common Ground, Sanctuary and A Step Forward teen and young adult homeless shelter, 1222 S. Washington Street, Royal Oak, 48067. 30 volunteers on two buildings, 9 a.m.- 4p.m. , Friday, May 10.
