Airbiquity Congratulates Nissan North America on its Receipt of the ITS America Smart Solution Spotlight Award

NASHVILLE, TN--April 22, 2013: Airbiquity, a global leader in connected vehicle services, today congratulates Nissan North America, Inc. for winning the Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITS America) Smart Solution Spotlight Award at the ITS America's 23rd Annual Meeting and Expo. The award was presented by ITS America's President and CEO Scott Belcher to Nissan North America, Inc. for the company's global launch of the Nissan LEAF Electric Vehicle (EV) CARWINGS Telematics Program.

Along with Nissan North America, Inc., Airbiquity was recognized by ITS America for the global launch of its Choreo Service Delivery Platform for its Cloud-Based EV Solution designed for the Nissan LEAF. The Choreo Service Delivery Platform is a global, highly-scalable, private cloud that enables embedded connectivity and smartphone integration solutions for apps and connected services worldwide.

Designed to keep Nissan LEAF owners and drivers connected to their car, the CARWINGS Telematics Program allows Nissan LEAF owners to monitor charging, find charge stations, plan trips, remotely control door locks, turn the climate control system on or off, and more, for an effortless transition to an EV lifestyle. Using a smartphone or a secure web site, Nissan LEAF owners have the ability to monitor and control selected vehicle functions anywhere they and the car have connectivity.
