New Head of Dealer Development and New Head of Finance for Audi

ZETLAND, AUSTRALIA – April 2, 2013: Audi Australia Pty Ltd has appointed a new head of Dealer Development to guide the company closer to its Strategy 2020 goals.

Mrs Rhonda Soulakellis, a highly-experienced senior member of the Audi brand will take on the role, effective 2 April 2013. The stand-alone ‘Dealer Development’ department of seven people is an initiative of Audi Australia Pty Ltd, as part of the company’s global Strategy 2020 which will see Audi take a leading role in the luxury car business in Australia by latest 2020.

Mrs Soulakellis has held the position of General Manager Finance at Audi Australia Pty Ltd for 16 years, and will now use her experience as General Manager Dealer Development to launch the next phase of Audi’s focus on dealer network investment, dealer network quality, non-technical training and customer service.

Audi Australia’s Managing Director, Mr Andrew Doyle, said the role is critical for Audi to take its next steps in the market towards leadership, by securing the network’s quality, process optimisation and customer service focus.

“Mrs Soulakellis is one of Audi’s most-experienced general managers, and will take over this role to secure the growth of the business for the next critical period in Australia. We need to focus on investments, sustainable growth, and network quality, ensuring that Audi is without doubt, the most customer-oriented premium brand in the market,” Mr Doyle said.

“The market competition is extremely fierce and it’s essential that Audi moves quickly and aggressively to secure its position for the long-term in Australia. It’s a clear demonstration of our long-term goals in the premium space.”

The role of General Manager Finance, Legal and Compliance will shortly be filled by Dr. Ralf Schuell, an experienced senior manager from AUDI AG.
