MELBOURNE – Marc 25, 2013: Richmond Football Club Captain, Trent Cotchin, speaks out in an emotive Jeep television commercial (TVC) which aired yesterday, Sunday 24 March.

The TVC features Cotchin late at night, pounding the streets of Melbourne, driven by the reflection of last season and the determination to succeed in 2013. Cotchin’s message: let’s get on with the game.

With round one upon us, the TVC encourages Australians to support their tribe - whatever the colours - in pursuit of being ‘crowned the kings’ at the end of the season.

“There’s a lot going on behind the scenes that we can’t control, but the most important thing going into this season is the footy that’s going to be played,” said Cotchin.

“This year is going to be competitive. It’s time for a fresh start,” added Cotchin.

Fiat Chrysler Group Australia’s director of marketing, Sam Tabart, is delighted with the message revealed in the advertisement.

“Trent is committed to his team, his fans, the Richmond Football Club and the greater good of the game,” said Mr Tabart.

“We’re all proud to be behind an ad that is a ‘call to arms’ for every footy fan to get behind their team,” said Mr Tabart.
