In'Tech Industries Inc. Earns Frost & Sullivan's 2013 Manufacturing Leadership 100 Award

RAMSEY, MN--February 21, 2013: Leading rapid prototyping, additive manufacturing and 3D printing service provider, In'Tech Industries Inc., today announced its designation as a 2013 Manufacturing Leadership 100 Award (ML100 Award) winner. In'Tech was recognized in the Game-Changing Technologies category along with some of the world's most renowned manufacturers such as; Chrysler Group LLC, Ford Motor Co., GE Aviation Systems, Lockheed Martin, PACCAR Inc., The Boeing Company and Raytheon Missile Systems.

In'Tech's Virtual Translation Manufacturing division is one of the largest privately-owned rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing service providers in the nation. Additive manufacturing, sometimes called "3D printing," has been identified as technology with the most potential to enhance American manufacturing abilities. Most recently during the State of the Union address, President Barack Obama's called 3D printing a technology with "the potential to revolutionize the way we make almost everything."

For more than ten years, In'Tech has offered advanced technologies to allow manufacturing engineers, industrial designers and product development firms to launch new products into the marketplace with shorter development times and reduced costs associated with rapid prototyping, product development and low-volume production. To address the ongoing demand for 3D printing and additive manufacturing solution providers, In'Tech initiated a Rapid Prototyping & Additive Manufacturing Center Expansion Project. The primary goal was to increase the capacity of its division established in 2001, expand its state-of-the-art 3D printing laboratory and offer a wider selection of Stereolithography (SLA), Digital Materials, Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) and PolyJet 3D printing materials.

In'Tech's project results exceeded all objectives by:

  • increasing capital equipment by 20%,
  • increasing 3D printing / additive manufacturing technology offering by 100%,
  • increasing 3D printing / additive manufacturing material selection by 40%, and
  • increasing sales by approximately 36%.

In'Tech will be honored and presented with an award for Game-Changing Technologies and its Rapid Prototyping & Additive Manufacturing Center at an Awards Gala held on May 15 in Florida. More than 200 manufacturing technology executives are expected to attend.

In'Tech's RP&AM Center houses three 3D Systems iPro 9000 SLA production printers, seven 3D Systems iPro 8000 SLA production printers, six 3D Systems Viper Si2 SLA systems, one Objet Connex500 3D printer, two Objet Connex350 3D printers, one Objet Eden500 3D printer, one Objet Eden333 3D printer and one Stratasys Titan 3D production system. The 8,000 sq. ft. climate controlled laboratory is managed by an on-site service technician who maintains all equipment to optimize performance requirements for precision output and part accuracy. In'Tech Industries Inc. was founded in 1967. Its 64,000 sq. ft facility houses four centers: Tooling, Engineering, Injection Molding and Rapid Prototyping & Additive Manufacturing and employs 125 people.
