Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Range Now Includes the Caddy Maxi Crewvan
BOTANY, AUSTRALIA – Jan 30, 2013: Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is pleased to announce an expansion of the Caddy Van range, by introducing a Caddy Maxi Crewvan variant to its model range. A perfect vehicle for carrying crew while leaving a secure and practical storage space for tools or racking equipment.
To maximise the storage space and versatility of the vehicle, the three-seater rear bench splits and folds forward to increase the load capacity from 1.6m3 to 4.1m3 and can be removed completely to achieve 4.1m3. The maximum load length is 2.25m (with seats removed) and payload is 709kg (Manual).
Due to increased payload requirements for this variant, the Caddy Maxi Crewvan has been built on a 16” wheels platform, featuring 16” steel wheels as standard equipment.
As per Caddy Maxi Van, rear barn doors are standard equipment for this new variant, with a tailgate available as a no-cost option.
The engine offering for the Caddy Maxi Crewvan comprises of the 75kW 1.6-litre TDI engine with 250Nm of torque, coupled with either a 5-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG transmission. This highly efficient engine achieves excellent combined fuel consumption of just 5.9 litres/100km (CO2: 155g/km) for both the manual and DSG versions.
The Caddy Maxi Crewvan is based on the MY13 Caddy Maxi Van, but receives
the following additional standard equipment:

retail price of only $1,500 above the equivalent Caddy Maxi Van, presenting
a very attractive offer compared to current aftermarket
conversions.
