Three-day event provides a pivotal forum for improving innovation in product development

LOVELAND, CO--and SOUTHFIELD, MI: Jan. 28, 2013 -- Longview Advisors, organizers of the annual 3D Collaboration & Interoperability Congress (CIC), today announced that the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) will support its 2013 event (www.3DCIC.com), to be held May 21-23, 2013 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

AIAG (AIAG) is a not-for-profit, member-supported organization that works with a wide range of global manufacturing companies and service providers to help them operate at peak performance.

Now in its tenth year, CIC has become a yearly barometer of the state of collaboration and interoperability strategy, technology and solutions in manufacturing and business communications. The three-day international event gives attendees a unique opportunity to network, learn and strategize with thought leaders from many sectors of discrete manufacturing, including automotive, aerospace, heavy equipment and electronics industries, as well as with representatives from government and defense communities.

"Continuous improvement is key to enterprise sustainability and has contributed directly to the upward trajectory we have seen in the automotive industry in terms of overall product quality and customer satisfaction," said J. Scot Sharland, executive director of AIAG."Improving processes and methods that enhance collaboration in global product development and supply chains will further drive these trends. We see our involvement with the CIC as a key part of our overall vision."

Interested attendees are encouraged to register soon as time-limited discounts currently apply. AIAG members will receive a discounted registration fee.

Free access to presentations from past events is available at 3DCIC.
