LOS ANGELES--Jan. 22, 2013: The Los Angeles Auto Show today announced the promotion of Brendan Flynn to the position of Sr. Director of Marketing and Communications.

"Since joining the team in 2007, Flynn has played an increased role in overall brand direction, marketing, strategic partnerships and communications, and has contributed significantly to the improved quality and growth of the Show," said Andy Fuzesi, LA Auto Show general manager.

Flynn will retain the duties he had in his previous position as the Director of Communications, including overall messaging, media outreach, partnerships, social media programs and content development. He will remain as the primary spokesperson for the Show as well as act as the key liaison for automakers, helping to coordinate their product launch efforts.  In his new role, Flynn will help develop new marketing partnerships, including retail and cross-promotional opportunities as well as spearhead strategic new business initiatives.

Flynn has been in the communications business for more than two decades. Prior to joining the LA Auto Show in 2007, Flynn worked as a Vice President at Fleishman Hillard International Communications where he led marketing and public relations activities for Yahoo! Autos, Jiffy Lube and Enterprise-Rent-A-Car. Before Fleishman Hillard, he worked at the Rogers Group representing Yokohama Tire Corporation.  Prior to the Rogers Group, Flynn held senior positions at Golin/Harris International and managed the Yamaha Motor Corporation account as well as oversaw campaigns for Buena Vista Home Video, Hewlett-Packard, Sprint PCS and Nintendo of America.
