SYDNEY – Dec 13, 2012: Hyundai Motor Company Australia has donated its one-off, custom-painted i20 Art Car to Kids Under Cover. It’s the main prize in a raffle to help raise funds for the organisation, which works to prevent youth homelessness in Australia.

The i20 Art Car will also be the star attraction of a national road show, currently touring Australia, to promote the charity and raise awareness of the vital work it does in the community.

Kids Under Cover’s vision is that “all young people to have the opportunity to reach their full potential.” The charity works to prevent youth homelessness by building homes and providing scholarships and mentors to young people at risk. Homelessness is a rising issue in our nation - it is estimated that on any one night, around 105,000 people are homeless in Australia. Almost half are under 25, and one in four is under 18.

To further support the initiative, in conjunction with major sponsor Manheim Auctions, Kids Under Cover has developed the ‘Donate Your Car’ program, which encourages Aussies to hand over their unwanted old or used cars to the charity. It’s a quick, simple, and free process, with all logistics taken care of. Importantly, 100% of the sale of the donated vehicles goes directly toward preventing youth homelessness.

For a chance to win the i20 Art Car, simply purchase a raffle ticket online, or in person at the national Roadshow which is touring the country now.
