LoJack Corporation Enters Agreement With Galpin Ford, World's Largest Ford Dealership

LoJack to Install Its Recovery System on Dealership's Fleet Of Vehicles;

Galpin To Reap Rewards of Protecting its Fleet and Offering Best-in-Class Vehicle Theft Protection to Customers

NORTH HILLS, Calif., Dec. 11, 2012 -- LoJack Corporation today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Galpin Ford, the world's largest Ford dealership for 22 consecutive years, to install the LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery System on Galpin's fleet of vehicles.  This is the largest agreement of its kind that LoJack Corporation has established with a single dealer and represents a strategic direction the company is taking with top-flight dealerships like Galpin Ford.

"LoJack Corporation is very pleased to enter into this arrangement with Galpin Ford as it is a true win for both organizations," said Randy L. Ortiz, President and CEO of LoJack. "Since vehicle theft increasingly happens at dealer lots, Galpin Ford will now have the best protection available for its entire fleet and can readily pass that protection along to its customers who purchase the LoJack System.  LoJack Corporation will benefit from being the vehicle theft protection solution endorsed by one of the largest and most successful dealerships in the country."

"I have known Bert Boeckmann and the Galpin team for many years and they represent the gold standard of automotive retailing.  I couldn't be more proud to partner with a winning group like Galpin Ford," continued Ortiz.

"Offering a quality product like the LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery System fits perfectly into our philosophy of delivering exceptional products and exceptional value to our customers," said Bert Boeckmann, owner of Galpin Motors, Inc.  "There isn't another theft protection system that can match LoJack's reliability, brand appeal and success rate.  Making the LoJack System available to all of our customers is particularly important in the greater Los Angeles market, which currently and historically has ranked as one of the worst areas in the country for car theft.  That's why we are excited to offer this highly effective system to our customers while also protecting the vehicles on our own lot."

LoJack Corporation will install its flagship Stolen Vehicle Recovery System on Galpin Ford's fleet of vehicles, as well as provide value-added services in dedicated training, installation and marketing.

  • Representatives will be on site at Galpin Ford to deliver personalized training on the LoJack System to Galpin's entire sales staff.
  • A team of certified installation representatives will also be on-site at Galpin Ford to install the LoJack System in the dealership's fleet.
  • To assist in enhancing the overall Galpin Ford customer experience, LoJack will work with Galpin representatives on several initiatives including analyzing customer traffic flow to provide insights into what attracts customers' attention within the dealership.
  • LoJack Corporation will develop customized, co-branded collateral on the LoJack System that will enable Galpin to distribute educational marketing materials to its customers.
