SYDNEY – Dec 7, 2012: The Motoring Matters Magazine Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Barry Park to the position of Editor of ECOcar magazine.

Barry Park is a journalist with more than 20 years of print media experience. In 2005, after spells in news and business, he joined The Age's Drive team as deputy motoring editor, working with the section as it slowly transformed to a digital-first publisher consolidated under the national Drive masthead.

Barry joins the ECOcar team of Peter McKay, Ed Ordynski, Paul Maric, John Cadogan and Allan Whiting at a time when the magazine is celebrating its position as the nation’s fastest growing automotive publication.

Managing Editor and Publisher Chris Mullett said:

“The targeted readership in the AB demographic is expanding strongly and has now reached 155,000 readers per issue. ECOcar is unique in being the preferred magazine in all airport frequent flyer lounges in Australia plus the Qantas Business and First Class Lounges in Los Angeles airport.

“We are very pleased to welcome Barry to the team as we build the magazine presence globally through digital platforms of ITunes Apps and zinio.com plus our increasing sales of printed copies through newsagents across Australia and New Zealand,” said Mr. Mullett.

ECOcar Magazine, Delivery Magazine and PowerTorque Magazine are produced and printed in Australia and are published by The Motoring Matters Magazine Group. Each title is the market leader in its section of the automotive industry.
