FRANKLIN, TN--Nov. 20, 2012: Nissan today announced that Francois Dossa, currently Nissan Brazil's general director of finance and administration, is appointed president of Nissan Brazil, effective Jan. 1, 2013. Dossa will assume the presidential responsibilities of Christian Meunier, who was recently named president of Nissan Canada.

Prior to joining Nissan Brazil in April 2012, Dossa was CEO of Latin American and Brazilian operations at Societe Generale. He has also worked as export finance director at Paribas bank in France and commercial manager at Alstom Brazil. Dossa holds a degree in economics from the HEC Paris Business School.

Dossa takes on the role as Nissan Brazil continues its path of significant growth and works toward the company's goal of 5 percent market share by 2016. In an effort to reach that goal, Nissan Brazil plans to introduce eight new models by 2016, open a new manufacturing plant in Resende, Rio, and is the official automotive sponsor of the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Nissan Brazil also wowed Sao Paulo Motor Show attendees with the unveiling of the Nissan Extrem, a new concept car specifically designed for the Brazilian market.
