TURIN, ITALY – Oct 5, 2012: Fiat Chrysler Group today reported its strongest retail quarter ever for Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge brands, confirming 5, 824 units were sold during the period; up 68.7 per cent compared with a year ago. September was also the best single month ever for the group’s American brands, selling 2,161 units; an increase on September 2011 of 50.6 per cent.

Clyde Campbell, Fiat Chrysler Group managing director, credits dynamic new product, sharp pricing and an outstanding dealership network to the record breaking sales results.

“We are absolutely thrilled with our sales performance this year. The figures confirm that our products and dealership networks are really at the top of their game.

“The year’s not over yet though, and we’re confident that the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8, which launches this week, will be one of our stand-out products to date. With vehicles like this on the market, we can expect the group’s strong results to continue into the next quarter.”

Outstanding performers this September were the Jeep Grand Cherokee securing the strongest sales results ever, retailing 881 units. Fiat and Alfa Romeo also recorded the strongest monthly result since joining the group’s portfolio in March, retailing 223 vehicles.
