Introducing an Oil Filter you never have to change, EVER.

There are many things to be proud of in this world that we do. Our kids…, our achievements…, our friends and family. And sometimes you get an opportunity to work with a group committed to turning things upside-down. That can piss off a lot of people, but since change is the only constant in this world, you can be sure that if you don't get on board, you'll be left behind.

For the last 100 years, oil filters on cars haven't changed much, if at all. They soak up the oil with the paper inside on the first go-round with the motor and pretty much wasted until you have to change them at 3000 miles. But by then, your oil is black as night having traveled through your engine for the last 2000 miles. And yes, that can add up to a lot of filters over the life of the car. 33 filters over 100,000 miles. And at about $10 or so a-piece, that's $330 bucks for an item that doesn't work very well. But there's more…

What happens to those filters when you remove them?

They go into landfills by the bagillions. Millions of cars at 33 filters equal millions of filters in landfills over the last hundred years. Hundreds of millions, actually. And we're not even talking about the oil left inside them! Millions of gallons of dirty oil seeps into the Earth, obliterating any chance of life there. It's pretty awful when you get your head around it, not to mention irresponsible.

But hey… you didn't know, right?

There is an answer. Several years ago I met a passionate man who was eager to make a difference in how the world saw these filters. He had an idea to pull a switch, but it would take time and money. So, over the next 4 years, he got exactly that. Christopher Hubbard designed the LIFETIME OIL FILTER and premiered it at SEMA in Las Vegas. The result was a phenomenon born from his love of our planet and how to make it cooler.

Since then, the company has changed its name to 37DEGREE FILTERS so that the Lifetime Oil Filter could be one of many green automotive products they are developing. And I'm proud to say that I'm now a part of that mission.

The Lifetime Oil Filter is a filter you NEVER HAVE TO CHANGE. Ever. Wait. Let me say that again. You NEVER need to change it. The cleaning is so easy, it could be done by your Grandma by simply calling the 37DF toll free number and sign up for their ReadySwap™ program and they will send you a clean element.

It's a work of art that removes impurities just like your lungs, leaving your oil clean as the day it was poured in. But telling you that they have test motors with thousands of miles on them without an oil change is too far for me to take you right now. What I can state is that by adding this filter to your car, it's the single most effective thing you can do to make a permanent difference cheaply.

Sure, you could go out and buy a Prius, Volt or an Insight, but not everyone is in a position to buy a whole new car. But here's what you CAN do…

When you see the Lifetime Oil Filter for the first time, it blows your mind. The weight, shimmering aluminum cover in polished or red makes you realize that art and design can be incorporated into products that actually work and are sustainable. The cool factor is off the chart for enthusiasts, which is why it's now selling in Pep Boys to Hot Rodders, Tuner and even Harley Davidson owners. But it's also why Commercial Fleets all over the world are ordering them for their fleet vehicles. The combination of knowing that you're saving money, greening the planet, eliminating landfill trash and making your car aesthetically cooler is the ultimate combination.

I'm proud of my friend Christopher, and can now call him that. But this is only the beginning. Our mission has begun and we're driven by creating what's right for the world, not by making things that are lame and don't change because we're lazy or don't want to take a risk. That way is the fool's way.

I ask you to check it out for yourself. The filter fits virtually every car and the goal is to fit them all. But there's more. Join us in the Fireball Revolution to "Make the Planet Cool." We all live here. We all have to do our part. We're all one. And if we take the time to think smarter, we'll act smarter, and our lives and the lives of those we love will get better.
