AUBURN HILLS, MI--Sept. 7, 2012: Brain Quest® and the Chrysler Brand announced today that they are teaming up for a year-long marketing campaign featuring a 100-city road tour that will deliver exciting and educational events and programming in addition to a select number of fund-raising test drives.

"This comprehensive initiative partners two leaders in their respective industries who will execute hundreds of fund-raising events for schools and students across the country, along with the opportunity to express our gratitude to teachers," said Saad Chehab, President and CEO -- Chrysler Brand, Chrysler Group LLC. "Together, Brain Quest and the Chrysler brand will award a $20,000 college scholarship to one lucky student and an additional $5,000 to the school who has earned the most test drives."

Brain Quest and the Chrysler Brand, will hit the road in three Town & Country Chrysler minivans, custom-wrapped in the Brain Quest brand logos, which will crisscross the country visiting high-profile book and science festivals; book and toy stores; and libraries and schools.

Brain Quest is America's #1 bestselling educational brand with more than 36 million copies in print. 2012 is a banner year for the line as it celebrates a 20th anniversary milestone with a revised 4th edition of eleven core titles.

"I can't think of a more exciting or appropriate way to mark this milestone than by bringing families into contact with Brain Quest through this coast-to-coast tour, made possible by our partners at Chrysler. Brain Quest and Chrysler share values of excellence, reliability, smartness, and family fun. Together, we'll show how much fun it is to be smart, by delivering hundreds of educational events to children across the country," said Janet Harris, Brain Quest Publisher.

Brain Quest Challenge Meets Chrysler Brand's "Drive 4 the Kids" Program

Brain Quest will bring its fast-paced, curriculum-based question-and-answer game to life with "Brain Quest Challenge" events on this 100-city mega tour. During the challenges, kids will have the chance to flaunt their smarts by answering questions in a quiz show-type setting and in some instances, by doing physical challenges (jump rope! hula-hoop!). Attendees will receive fun giveaways and winners will take home products from the Brain Quest line.

A select number of "Brain Quest Challenge" events will include the Chrysler brand's "Drive 4 the Kids" fundraising initiative (D4K). Originally introduced in 1993, this annual event puts parents behind the wheel of the popular Town & Country minivans, and pays schools $10 for each test drive, with all proceeds going directly to the school.

The school with the highest number of test drives in each one of the five geographic regions (Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Central, and West) will win an additional $5,000. Test drive participants will also be entered to win $45,000 toward the purchase of a new Chrysler Group vehicle.

Brain Quest and Chrysler will also provide one lucky grand prize winner with a $20,000 college scholarship. In addition, one first prize winner will win a $5,000 scholarship for college tuition and 18 runners-up will win an Apple iPad2. To enter visit BrainQuest Sweepstakes or Chrysler BrainQuest.

Since its inception, the Chrysler brand's "Drive 4 the Kids" program has donated more than $4 million dollars to schools across the country. Chrysler was the first automotive manufacturer to directly support schools in the communities.

Teacher Awards Contest

The Teacher Awards are designed to recognize creative teachers who make learning an adventure in the classroom. Brain Quest and the Chrysler Brand will select one teacher per month who best exemplifies this mission, to receive a $500 cash prize and $500 worth of Brain Quest products for their school. In addition, winners will also receive a special discount on any new Chrysler Group vehicle purchase. One grand prize winner will be selected out of the twelve recipients to receive a $5,000 cash prize, $1,000 worth of Brain Quest® products, and a "Brain Quest Challenge" event for their school.
