SAE International Global Technology Library-Electric Vehicle Adds News Books, Content Partners

WARRENDALE, PA--Sept. 5, 2012: Launched in June, as the industry's premier online resource for vehicle electrification, SAE International has updated its Global Technology Library -- Electric Vehicle database. The enhancements to the Library include the addition of adding three new books and four content publishing partners.

The new book titles include:

  • Advanced Hybrid Powertrains for Commercial Vehicles by Haoran Hu, Simon Baseley and Rudolf M. Smaling -- This book provides a broad and comprehensive look at hybrid powertrain technologies for commercial vehicles. It begins with the fundamentals of hybrid powertrain systems, government regulations, and driving cycles, then provides design guidelines and key components of hybrid powertrains for commercial vehicles.
  • Automotive Telematics by Axel Fuchs -- This report discusses automotive telematics from a technical perspective, with reference to the business model and to the value for the user. The three main entities of the end-to-end system framework of telematics are discussed; in-vehicle system, infrastructure, and service center with its voice and data portal.
  • Automotive E/E Reliability: Strategies for Keeping Pace in a Feature-Rich World by John Day -- This book helps executives, decision-makers, and managers to quickly grasp the key drivers associated with E/E reliability in the automotive market. Academics who teach electronics and automotive engineering will also be interested in the book, as well as those in government who legislate and regulate automotive electronics.

In addition, the database now includes content from four new publishing partners, including IDTechEx, a well-known developer of market research reports, BNA and, InterRegs, specialized in legal and regulatory issues, and the Patent Board, focusing on patent information.

The Global Technology Library--Electric Vehicle is a new, comprehensive resource from SAE International that covers the latest developments in vehicle electrification worldwide.
