ANN ARBOR, MI--Aug. 9, 2012:  NSK Steering Systems America (NSSA) recently announced the appointment of Michael Allan as Plant Manager for their Bennington, Vermont steering systems facility. Allan's appointment follows his 22-year history of progressive positions within NSK in England and Poland.

The Vermont facility, along with one in Tennessee, is responsible for producing steering components, manual and electric steering columns, and electric power steering systems. The two facilities contribute to NSK's global leadership within the automotive component segment. Both facilities are TS16949 and ISO14001 certified environments.

Allan, who joined NSK in 1990 as a Quality Section Leader, guided the creation of a steering facility in Northeast England from a greenfield site to a manual column mass production facility.  Allan's international career with NSK has also included roles as a Plant Manager in various locations, and prior to his appointment he acted in the dual role of European Steering Purchase Manager and Plant Manager of the Peterlee, UK, steering operation.
