TALLAHASSEE, FL--July 13, 2012:  Florida-based Auto Data Direct, Inc., (ADD) has been appointed to a second two-year term on the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS) National Advisory Board as a stakeholder representative.  Jim Taylor, President of ADD will sit on the Board as its representative.

Members of the committee are appointed by the Department of Justice to advise the Bureau of Justice Assistance on NMVTIS related issues.  The committee is comprised of private sector industry representatives, jurisdictional representatives, law enforcement, and consumer advocates.  NMVTIS is a U.S. Department of Justice database operated by the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators designed to protect states and consumers from fraud and unsafe vehicles.  It contains automobile information from states, insurance carriers, and the salvage industry.

"We are honored to participate as one of the NMVTIS consolidator stakeholders," said Taylor.  "The NMVTIS Advisory Board is an important forum for sharing ideas on how to continue to improve this federal database and how it benefits consumers."

Auto Data Direct was founded in 1999 and pioneered the use of the internet to provide businesses with on-line access to driver license and automobile data maintained in government databases.  ADD created customized back-end business tools to help the customer use the real-time data to complete day-to-day business processes, such as completing title documents, sending certified letters, issuing temporary license plates, and accomplishing it all from their desktop.  The company offers DPPA qualified businesses real-time access to 27 state databases, more than any provider of its kind.  In 2009, ADD utilized its experience and expertise to provide an online salvage vehicle upload system for reporting to NMVTIS as well as consumer and business access to vehicle history reports.
