Breast Feeding in Your Convertible Car During Grid Lock Traffic - Yea or Nay?

Time Magazine breaks hallowed ground on an important subject

AUTO CENTRAL - May 10, 2012: A provocative media event occurred today that will probably fill CNN and all the supermarket tabloids for the next several days. The event is Time Magazine using a photo of a very attractive young blonde woman breastfeeding her 3-year old son. Aside from the fact that the picture might be construed as child pornography in some jurisdictions, we all certainly must say that it is very titillating (a fantastically gratuitous use of the perfect word).

Some of the criticisms leveled against Time for using the photo are that they just wanted to create a media frenzy and draw attention to the magazine. To that charge we say... "Duh!"

After all that's why you choose a particular photo for a magazine. And since Time can't publish another ultra controversial "Man of the Year" story and photo that will cause worldwide commotion, they found a very viable mid-season replacement. The big question is "What will they do next year to upstage this year?"

But the photo did get us to thinking since we, too, look for ways to increase traffic to TheAutoChannel.com. So we came up with the completely nonsensical headline (used above) in the hope that it will trigger tremendous irrational search engine attention and lead to a flood of online visits from people who might not have any interest in automobiles, but they're interested in being titillated (there's that world again).

So to this end, we ask the question "What's your position on breast feeding in a convertible car that's stuck in a bumper-to-bumper grid lock traffic jam?" Would you prefer to be in a bus next to the vehicle or would you like to be in an office building that looks down on the convertible? On the other hand, being a pedestrial waiting to cross the street could allow a pretty good viewpoint as well?

If you have some thoughts on this you don't have to send them to us, because we're not really interested. We're just looking to create a traffic jam of our own at our website.

Thank you for assisting us. Incidentally, if you would like to learn more about the Time Magazine photo and story please visit LA Time's Coverage of the Time photo
