There are millions of Americans in all sectors of our community who vehemently profess their patriotism while almost violently opposing the idea of a world order controlled by “well-meaning” foreigners who would dictate our laws and how we live our lives. But strangely, they willingly support a foreign controlled oil industry that dominates our economic lives thereby virtually affecting all other aspects of our day-to-day existence.
Most of these people are private citizens, however there are a number of very visible media personalities who are at the top of the list. People like Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Dennis Prager, Hugh Hewitt, and Michael Medved.
We don’t have an “American” oil industry, although there are some U.S. citizens who are involved in the global industry. Unfortunately they have either willingly or through financial inducement ceded any American-centric values to international interests.
If you are this type of person you should be supporting energy policies that are beholden to no outside interests and that can’t be usurped by foreign national interests. New domestic oil drilling would be almost acceptable if we knew that the oil would be used here in America, and that it would either bring the cost of gasoline and home heating oil down, and/or alleviate our need for any foreign oil. But that is not what will happen, and in fact, we don’t even hear any “American” oil people pretending that that will happen if new drilling and exploration is allowed to take place.
I frankly can’t understand how you can profess to be a patriot, and be against the continuing erosion of our liberties and culture while you are supporting its destruction via the economic international world order.
