NEW YORK--March 20, 2012: IDGA's Tactical Vehicles Summit is proud to announce the fifth installment as the nation's foremost event addressing the strategy, procurement, challenges, and opportunities in tactical vehicles.

This year's event will focus on the challenges ahead for the JLTV, MRAP, HMMWV ECV and MTVR/LVSR, including what will be done in the coming year to address the shifting priorities and vehicle requirements in OCOs. The drawdown in Iraq and shift to a long-term, sustainment strategy in Afghanistan mean that now more than ever the military must develop vehicles adequate for these new missions. Shifting theater requirements and budget realities dictate that the tactical vehicles community reposition itself accordingly.

This year's speakers and exhibitors include representatives from organizations such as: USMC, PEO Land Systems, MARCORSYSCOM, LetterKenny Army Depot, Rock Island Arsenal, Airtronics, Oshkosh Defense, ZF Steering Systems, Grote Industries, SKYDEX Technologies, Inc., Sika Corporation, among others.

The main summit features a keynote address by Brigadier General John Bullard, Deputy Commanding General, MARCORSYSCOM on Tuesday, April 24th. He will review the long term objectives and strategies for vehicle modernization, meeting the tactical vehicle requirements via platform developments and the new challenges of future upgrades and rapid acquisition the military is now facing.
