Official Opening of Volkswagen Group Australia's New Corporate Headquarters

BOTANY, AUSTRALIA – Feb 14, 2012: Volkswagen Group Australia has officially opened its new Corporate Headquarters in Chullora, marking the occasion with a gala event for staff and dealers.

Volkswagen Group Australia’s Managing Director, Ms Anke Koeckler, was joined by The Hon Tony Burke MP to officially open the company’s new facility by unveiling a commemorative plaque. Bankstown Mayor, Mr. Khal Asfour, was also in attendance at the celebration.

Volkswagen Group Australia’s new state of the art facility was designed to bring all of the organisation’s business divisions together, providing 5,930 square metres of office space for Volkswagen Passenger Vehicles, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, ŠKODA Australia, Bentley and Volkswagen Financial Services.

The new Chullora headquarters also incorporate a large combined showroom and reception area and a 16,000 square metre parts and accessories warehouse. A 4,720 square metre workshop and training centre designed for dealer staff completes the facility, along with a purpose-built café, Das Café, managed by Swiss Deli.

The site provides ample accommodation for the current staff headcount, while all areas of the facility have been designed to allow for future growth.
