VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA – Feb 10, 2012: The Victorian Renault Car Club’s annual Renault Round-Up takes place on Sunday 19th February at the Waterfront City, Docklands.

More than 80 unique and historic Renault vehicles dating from the dawn of the century-old company will be on display, along with a choice selection of the 2012 model year range.

Representing Renault’s long sporting heritage will be trio of historic Gordini models, comprising Renault 8 Gordini, Renault 12 Gordini and a Renault 17 Gordini, while a more recent 2011 example is sure to bring the Gordini sub-brand right up-to-date. A contemporary Renault Clio Cup racecar will also be on display.

Demonstrating Renault’s long and successful history at the very pinnacle of motorsport will be the Alpine A110, winner of the 1973 Monte Carlo Rally and World Rally Championship and its successor the Alpine A310, winner of the 1977 French Rally Championship.

Renault Sport will be well represented at the 2012 Renault Round-Up with Clio Renault Sport 200 models, as well as the Mégane Renault Sport 250 Coupe, including one of the six identical race-prepared cars that will contest the Red Bull Race Off at the Australian Grand Prix at Albert Park on March 15-18.

While the magnetic attraction of the cars will be hard to resist, Renault ambassador Gabriel Gaté will be on hand to tempt visitors with a variety of tasty concoctions, produced at a cooking demonstration between 11.30 am and 12.30 pm.

The Renault Round-Up kicks off at 9.30 am and wraps up at 2.30pm at the Piazza Area, Waterfront City Docklands. Enter via Dopel Way and look out for the Renault flags.
