VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA – Jan 30, 2012: This weekend, Sydney’s Domain will come alive with Mazda Opera in the Domain presenting Bizet’s sensuous production of The Pearl Fishers.

Mazda Australia is very proud to once again be sponsoring Opera Australia’s most popular musical event of the season. This weekend’s event marks the seventh consecutive year Mazda and Opera Australia’s award-winning relationship has delivered world class opera in the stunning surrounds of Sydney’s Domain.

The Pearl Fishers is without doubt one of the most loved works in Opera Australia’s repertoire and one of Australia’s favourite sopranos, Lorina Gore, will certainly stir up the passions of the audience as much as she will the two fishermen (performed by Henry Choo and Luke Gabbedy) vying for her attention.

Mazda Opera in the Domain is not only a musical experience, but a perfect setting to enjoy a balmy night in tranquil surroundings. You can make a real outing of it all by bringing a picnic or sampling the delights from the many food stalls in the Domain before the opera begins at 8.00pm.

The Mazda VIP marquee will no doubt be the buzz of the event again with a sparkling atmosphere, great food, celebrities, as well as festival favourites.

To add even more excitement, opera goers have a chance to win a brand new Mazda3 SP20 SKYACTIV Luxury.

This is a free event where everyone can take advantage of the music and entertainment and where one lucky opera subscriber will leave the evening’s performance with the keys to a Mazda3. We hope to see you there on Saturday 28 January.
