Although we predict that this Obama speech will be just more empty promises and political double-talk, let's see what he has to say

UPDATE: The live event concluded. See the post-speech analysis at the bottom of the page

AUTO CENTRAL - January 26, 2012: An email blast from T. Boone Pickens this morning states that Barack Obama's speech this afternoon at 5:30PM EST will be exciting because Obama's new energy plan for America will incorporate many of the aspects that had been set forth in the Pickens' Plan first introduced about four years ago.

While it would be nice to think that the President has finally decided to take action that could help our economy and energy security, we're very pessimistic. After all, in August 4, 2008, during his campaigning for the Democratic Party nomination, Obama delivered a wonderful energy speech that came to naught once he was elected into office. So this speech will probably be a re-hashing of the speech he gave in August 2008.

In any event, you can watch the speech right here on TheAutoChannel.com at 5:30PM New York time, 2:30PM Los Angeles time. Please return at that time.

Post speech analysis: Obama's speech from Colorado was very short and contained no details in how we would lessen our dependence on oil (foreign or otherwise) and how jobs will actually be created. It was an empty, worthless campaign speech that proves once again that he is incompetent and inept.
