DETROIT - January 9, 2012: Mercedes-Benz presented their "special" new 6th generation SL Roadster last night on the eve of the 2012 North American International Auto Show. Although the presentation was styled as a somewhat belated New Year's reception for journalists and other invited guests, the occasion was really intended to give everyone an advanced look at the beautiful new sports car that will be officially unveiled today during the Mercedes-Benz Press Conference.

Helping to make the event really special MB brought in the European-based jazz group De Phazz. Most Americans are probably unaware of De Phazz, but all jazz aficionados would do well to acquaint themselves with the group.
