HUDSON, January 22, 2012: Officials from Tri-County (N.C.) Motor Speedway announced today that the track nestled in the foothills of the blue ridge mountains in Hudson, North Carolina is available for purchase.

The four-tenths of a mile oval, once carrying the signage of being a NASCAR-sanctioned race track is being sold “as is” condition. In 2011, the track hosted events for Late Models, Limited Late Models, Late Model Trucks, Street Stocks, Renegades, the UARA Late Models Series and ended its year with the Whelen Southern Modified Tour season finale.

Located on 33-scenic acres, the .400 meticulously maintained showpiece features an asphalt racing surface with full concrete containment walls; a large infield access tunnel, multiple concession and restrooms facilities. The short track also hoists a three-story V.I.P. suite, scoring tower, concrete grandstands and much more.

Privately owned, the fully-fenced track sits approximately an hour from Charlotte, one hour from Mooresville and Asheville and is just minutes off the 1-40 freeway.
