GUELPH, Ontario--Jan. 12, 2012: W2 Energy, Inc. (OTC: WTWO) is pleased to announce that it is currently working on a commercial redesign of the company's Solar Bug. The company has created a two seat, side by side design with cargo space. "Our target is to release this to market  by 3rd quarter of 2012," reports W2 Energy's CEO, Mr. Michael McLaren.

W2 Energy has been working in the background, bringing the core technology up to a commercial level. W2 Energy has invested in the technology in order to integrate the company's state of the art rotary engine and on-board plasma system.

The new design will incorporate our multi-fuel rotary engine, a mobile NT plasmatron which converts various feedstocks such as vegetable oil, biodiesel or other liquid fuels to syngas, which will run the rotary engine and charge the battery system. This technology will extend the range of the vehicle. Additionally, the Solar Bug will incorporate two 300 watt solar panels and a state of the art energy storage system.

Mr. Michael McLaren states, "We have been diligently working in the background getting all of the components ready to integrate into the solar bug as we have envisioned the product.  We have contracted a well respected race car builder to lead the redesign of the chassis as well as the expansion of the body.  We are very excited about this product as it has great potential for the company and we already have several serious buyers for the product. We have leveraged the knowledge that we have gained from other projects like AzRISE to modify the engine and the system in general to build a robust commercial system."
