FAIRFAX, VA--January 4, 2011: TrafficLand, the largest authorized aggregator of live traffic video in the U.S., announced today that its video content is now available directly through TrafficLand or through any of the company's expanded list of authorized distributors: Beat The Traffic, Radiate Media (formerly NAVTEQ Media Solution's Radio and Television Group) and Total Traffic Network (Metro Traffic). The TrafficLand network currently includes more than 11,000 cameras in nearly 150 cities across the U.S.

“Now, with the new TrafficLand direct sales program and expanded dealer network, traffic information providers, regardless of their technology platform, can use live video from the TrafficLand network to enhance their content.”

The company has also recently launched TrafficLand Broadcast 3.0, an on-air video management platform for broadcast news production operations and traffic reporters. In use by 32 TV stations nationwide, the TrafficLand product makes it easier to monitor large numbers of traffic cameras, and reduces the time required to select and add cameras to on-air reports. Broadcast 3.0 lets users search by street name for any camera on the TrafficLand network and includes a user generated content feature called Top Cameras that ranks cameras by viewer demand on TrafficLand's public Web site, www.trafficland.com.

"When it comes to really understanding traffic information, nothing completes the picture for the end-user like live video from the scene," Said Lawrence Nelson, CEO of TrafficLand. "Now, with the new TrafficLand direct sales program and expanded dealer network, traffic information providers, regardless of their technology platform, can use live video from the TrafficLand network to enhance their content."
