PARIS – Dec 22, 2011: Ian Plummer has decided to leave Renault UK as Commercial Operations Director with effect from 31 December. Ian has made a significant contribution to the Renault brand in the UK, formerly as Managing Director of Renault Retail Group, where he led a strong resurgence in the company’s results and, more recently, as Renault UK’s Commercial Operations Director, achieving a return to a 5% market share last year.

Before returning to work for Renault UK, Ian spent seven years in the Head Office in Paris where he rose quickly through the ranks working in various international marketing and after-sales roles, culminating in a role as e-Business Director of Renault’s worldwide after-sales business unit.

Thierry Sybord, Renault UK’s Managing Director said, “Ian’s inspiration and leadership will be missed and I wish him the very best for his future.”

Ian’s successor will be announced in the very near future. In the interim period, Bob O’Reilly, Head of Franchising & Network Development, will assume responsibility for Renault UK Commercial Operations.
