FULLERTON, Dec. 21, 2011: Yokohama Tire Corporation’s digital marketing agency of record, United Future – which helped the tire maker launch strategic digital initiatives this year, has been recognized with an industry award. United Future’s founder and president, Scott Holmes, was named Mobile Ambassador at the recent Mobile Excellence Awards (MEA) in Los Angeles, California.

“It’s an honor to be named Ambassador by my industry peers,” said Holmes. “Mobility today has expanded beyond smart phones and there’s no end in sight. I hope to leverage this honor to collaborate with companies on how to create experiences that compel consumers to believe and act.”

“Thriving in the digital environment, where today’s consumer resides, was a strategic priority for Yokohama when searching for a digital marketing agency earlier this year,” said Theresa Palang, Yokohama’s manager of public relations and digital marketing. “Scott’s award validates our choice in United Future. He is a thought leader in creating powerful customer experiences using emerging technologies. We’re happy for Scott for getting the recognition he truly deserves.”

Key digital initiatives that Yokohama launched this year through its partnership with United Future include a customer-first website, an integrated social media campaign and interactive glass windows at the 2011 LA Auto Show.

According to the MEA, the Ambassador commendation is the highest honor given in the mobile entertainment and technology industries and is awarded to the individual who has most effectively supported the goals of the mobile community at large.
