PennDOT: New Teen Driver Law to Take Effect Dec. 27, not Dec. 24

HARRISBURG, PA--Dec. 20, 2011:  PennDOT announced today Pennsylvania's new law aimed at increasing safety for young drivers will take effect at 12:01 a.m. on Dec. 27.

Due to a calculation error, the effective date was incorrectly reported as Dec. 24 in a Dec. 19 PennDOT news release.

PennDOT apologizes for the error.
