DEARBORN, MI--Dec. 14, 2011Ford introduces Focus Electric, expected to top 100 MPGe
Ford's world-class Michigan Assembly Plant is starting production of the 2012 Focus Electric, expected to be the first five-passenger, all-electric car to achieve 100-plus MPGe. Focus Electric can recharge in half the time of the Nissan Leaf. One-third of Ford's transformed lineup will feature a model with 40 mpg or more in 2012 to give fuel-efficiency-minded customers the Power of Choice.  more...

Kelley Blue Book's kbb.com named the hot-selling Ford Focus to its list of 10 Best Redesigned Vehicles for 2012. Editors noted "Focus has been more than just redesigned for 2012; it's been reworked, restyled and completely changed from the model it replaces. Click here for the article.

Two Ford engines earn spots on Ward's 10 Best Engine list
Ford's 2.0-liter EcoBoost® and 5.0-liter V8 have each been named a Ward's 10 Best Engine. WardsAuto editors report getting a 24 mpg return from the turbocharged four-cylinder EcoBoost in the Ford Edge -- "which deserves plaudits in this segment." For the second time Ford's 5.0-liter V8 makes the list. In the Mustang Boss 302, editors note, it is "a 444-hp beast that pays homage to muscle cars of old, but uses modern overhead cam and aluminum construction." Click here for the article.
