Driver Safety and Crash Prevention Program Offers 40 High School Students Early Holiday Gift

WHERE: BARNES AIRPORT, WESTFIELD, MASS.

WHEN: Tomorrow, SATURDAY, DEC. 10TH

TIME: 8-12 P.M.

WHAT: TEEN CRASH PREVENTION PROGRAM AND PHOTO OPPORTUNITY

40 local students from across Western, Mass. will participate in a FREE advanced driver training program that could save their lives. In a series of controlled driving drills, the students will learn how to avoid highway accidents, handle tailgaters, make emergency lane changes and use anti-lock brakes.

The winners were selected through a raffle sponsored by Berkshire Insurance Group, a Berkshire Bank affiliate, and The Hanover Insurance Group. The program is hosted by the In Control Crash Prevention safe driving program and is valued at $350 per student.

With more than 20,000 graduates, the state-certified In Control Crash Prevention Training program has proven to save lives and significantly reduce crashes involving participating drivers.

Students are from Westfield, Florence, Springfield, Feeding Hills, Great Barrington, Granby, Hadley, Washington, Lenox, Otis, Pittsfield, South Hadley, Chicopee, Dalton and Hinsdale.
