HONG KONG--December 8, 2011: Johnson Electric today announced the Compact Lite TM window lift drive product line. This product is the industry's lowest weight window lift drive in a compact package. High performance is achieved without using rare earth magnets, protecting customers from the high cost escalation associated with neodymium material.

“The rare earth free magnet design also provides assurance of supply to our customers”

The Compact Lite product line torque range of 8 to 12Nm is developed based on patented "Curve" motor technology. The high power density magnetic circuit design is 30 percent lighter than traditional products. The patented gear box suppresses resonant noise and eliminates the clunking noise of traditional window lift systems. Compact Lite offers 6dBA noise reduction for enhanced passenger comfort. The patented brush holder design provides a reliable and clean ripple current signal for use by anti-pinch systems. The new product line also includes the Standard+ window lift drive. The Standard+ drive is compact and offers reduced noise levels compared to traditional drives.

"The Compact Lite product sets a new engineering standard for weight and noise level performance," said Jim Dick, Johnson Electric's senior vice president of Strategic Marketing. "The rare earth free magnet design also provides assurance of supply to our customers," he added.
