SAN DIEGO--December 7, 2011: Networkfleet, a leader in wireless fleet management, today announced that Campbell Oil Company, an oil and lumber delivery service, has reduced vehicle idling and saved $1800 in fuel costs within the first month of implementing Networkfleet. Through continuous GPS vehicle tracking and engine diagnostic monitoring, Campbell Oil Company has reduced speeding, increased on-time deliveries and streamlined fuel tax reporting.

“Before Networkfleet, we were dispatching trucks using cell phones. We needed a way to increase our routing efficiency and improve delivery times”

Campbell Oil Company is a family owned and operated business based in Elizabethtown, NC. Its small fleet consists of a combination of delivery trucks and 18 wheel semi-trailer trucks. Campbell Oil selected the Networkfleet GPS fleet management system due to the combination of diagnostic capabilities, ease of use, and local support from Amerizon Wireless, a Networkfleet reseller. Networkfleet merges GPS technology with affordable wireless coverage and remote engine diagnostics to lower fleet operating costs.

"Before Networkfleet, we were dispatching trucks using cell phones. We needed a way to increase our routing efficiency and improve delivery times," said Brian Campbell, COO of Campbell Oil Company. "Our business is built on providing exceptional service. Support from Networkfleet and Amerizon Wireless helps us do that."

In addition to reducing fuel expenses, Campbell Oil uses Networkfleet to gain new customers by showing them how quickly it can locate the closest delivery vehicle to a customer location. As a safety benefit, Networkfleet also helped the company locate a vehicle that was reported to be setting off sparks, a potentially dangerous situation.

Campbell Oil's accounting department uses Networkfleet's State Mileage Report to simplify fuel tax reporting. Managers can log on to Networkfleet's online system and generate reports showing the number of miles traveled for each vehicle by state, including the distance traveled in each state, toll and non-toll distance, and dates of entry and exit.

The complete Campbell Oil and Gas case study is available on the Networkfleet web site.
